Sons of Ingmar (Swedish: Ingmarssönerna), also released in the United Kingdom under the title Dawn of Love, is a 1919 Swedish silent drama film directed by Victor Sjöström. It is the first part of his adaptation of Selma Lagerlöf's novel Jerusalem, originally published in 1901 and 1902.

An epic in two parts set in the year of 1840. Lill-Ingmar (Sjöström) is a farmer who loves his property above all, above everyone. His fiancée, Brita, gets pregnant with his child. But when she gives birth, she strangles the baby, because she cannot stand the idea, imposed by Ingmar, of postponing the wedding because of a crisis on the farm.

Review by Andrew. Sons of Ingmar 1919 ★★★★. Watched Aug 07 , 2021. Tricky to judge for a multitude of reasons. It's consistently inventively staged and structured, but it sadly seems to be partially lost, with only 135 minutes out of 207 surviving in the copy on YouTube.
