Biography. German pole vaulter Danny Ecker, son of Heide Rosendahl and basketball professional John Ecker, reached the Olympic finals in all of his three attempts. In 2000 at Sydney he placed eighth and on the next two occasions, in 2004 at Athens and 2008 at Beijing, he finished fifth.
