LeRoy Butler III (born July 19, 1968) is an American former professional football player who spent his entire 12-year career (1990–2001) as a safety for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
LeRoy Butler, a 6’0”, 197-pound safety out of Florida State, was drafted in the second round (48th overall) in the 1990 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers where he spent his entire 12-season career. Butler was one of the most prolific defensive backs in the Packers’ storied history and among the premier safeties of his era.
