Reinhard Häfner (* 2. Februar 1952 in Sonneberg; † 24. Oktober 2016 [1] in Dresden) war ein deutscher Fußballspieler. Er spielte in der DDR-Oberliga, der höchsten Spielklasse des DDR-Fußballverbandes, für den FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt und Dynamo Dresden. Mit Dresden wurde er viermal Meister und viermal Pokalsieger.
Reinhard Häfner (2 February 1952 – 24 October 2016) was a German football player and coach. Career. Häfner played children's and youth football for his hometown club BSG Motor Sonneberg. As a junior player he was assigned to Rot-Weiß Erfurt before joining Dynamo Dresden in 1971.

Reinhard Häfner played a significant part in the first Olympic victory of a German football team, scoring the goal for the GDR (East Germany) that won the 1976 final in the 3-1 win against Poland. The München team four years earlier claimed the bronze medal together with the Soviet Union after a 2-2 tie, after extra time.
