Heini Hemmi (born 17 January 1949) is a Swiss former alpine skier, winner of the giant slalom competition at the 1976 Winter Olympics. He also won the Giant slalom World Cup 1976-77. His younger brother Christian was on the podium thrice at the 1976–77 World Cup.

Heini Hemmi won the giant slalom gold medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria. He also won four World Cup events and the seasonal World Cup in giant slalom in 1976/77.
With his compact frame and thick, bushy beard, the unassuming Hemmi seemed likely to be locked out of the medals race in the giant slalom, dominated at the time by the Italian, Gustavo Thöni, and Ingemar Stenmark of Sweden. But anything can happen in an Olympic contest.
