Takeshi Koba (古葉 竹識, Koba Takeshi, April 22, 1936 – November 12, 2021) was a professional baseball player and manager in Japan, and the manager of Tokyo International University's baseball team.
古葉 竹識 （こば たけし、旧名： 古葉 毅 （読み同じ） [1] 、 1936年 4月22日 - 2021年 11月12日 ）は、 熊本県 熊本市 西区 出身の プロ野球選手 （ 内野手 ）・ コーチ ・ 監督 、 解説者 。 広島東洋カープ にて選手として盗塁王を獲得、監督として球団史上初のリーグ優勝・日本一に導いた。 退任後は公益社団法人 少年軟式野球国際交流協会 理事長 、 全日本大学軟式野球連盟 名誉会長、 東京国際大学 名誉監督などを務めた。 経歴. プロ入り前. 古町国民学校 出身。 古葉が小学3年生のときに終戦を迎え、焼野原を片付けた場所で地元の子どもたちと野球をした事がきっかけで野球を始める [2] 。
