Daniel Arthur Lanning (born April 10, 1986) is an American football coach at the University of Oregon. He was previously the defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach at the University of Georgia from 2019 to 2021.
Dan Lanning is the 35th head coach in Oregon football history and the former defensive coordinator of the national champion Georgia Bulldogs. He led the Ducks to a 10-win season and a bowl victory in his first year, and oversaw the nation's top defense in his three seasons at Georgia.
