Lowell Gibbs "Cotton" Fitzsimmons (October 7, 1931 – July 24, 2004) was an American college and NBA basketball coach. A native of Bowling Green, Missouri, he attended and played basketball at Hannibal-LaGrange Junior College in Hannibal, Missouri and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Cotton Fitzsimmons was a coach who led four NBA teams to playoff appearances and won two Coach of the Year awards. He also won two junior college national championships and was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 2021.

9 de sept. de 2021 · Cotton Fitzsimmons, who led the Suns to four 50-win seasons and two Western Conference Finals, will be posthumously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Sept. 11. He is the third Suns contributor and the 11th former Suns player to be honored in Springfield.
