Michael O'Laughlen was a Confederate soldier and a friend of John Wilkes Booth. He was arrested and tried for his role in the plot to assassinate President Lincoln, but he was pardoned and released in 1869. He is buried in Green Mount Cemetery in Baltimore, along with Booth and other conspirators.
