Michael Gwisdek was a frequent guest at the Berlinale: as an actor in numerous films - including Good Bye, Lenin - and with his directorial works Farewell to Agnes and The Big Mambo. In 1999, he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor for his role in Andreas Dresen's film Nightshapes .
