Morgan Brenda Christen (born December 5, 1961) is an American lawyer and jurist who serves as a U.S. circuit judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She previously served as a state court judge on the Alaska Supreme Court from 2009 to 2012 and on the Alaska Superior Court from 2002 to 2009.
Judge Christen currently serves on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Historical Society Advisory Board. She chaired the Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee for District 14 from 2017 to 2020. Prior to her appointment to the Ninth Circuit, Judge Christen served as a justice on the Alaska Supreme Court.
Morgan Brenda Christen is a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. She joined the court in 2011 after a nomination from President Barack Obama. At the time of her nomination, she was a justice on the Alaska Supreme Court, a post she held from 2009 until her confirmation. [1] [2]
