Charley's Aunt (German: Charleys Tante) is a 1963 Austrian comedy film directed by Géza von Cziffra and starring Peter Alexander, Maria Sebaldt and Peter Vogel. It is an adaptation of the 1892 British play Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas. It was shot at the Rosenhügel Studios in Vienna.
Synopsis. Programme for the original London production. Act I. Jack Chesney and Charley Wykeham are undergraduates at Oxford University in love with, respectively, Kitty Verdun and Amy Spettigue. Charley receives word that his aunt, Donna Lucia d'Alvadorez, a rich widow from Brazil whom he has never met, is coming to visit him.
