Frans Kaisiepo (10 October 1921 – 10 April 1979) was a Papuan politician and Indonesian nationalist. He served as the fourth Governor of Papua Province. In 1993, Kaisiepo was posthumously declared a National Hero of Indonesia (Indonesian: Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia) for his lifelong efforts to unite West Irian with Indonesia.
Frans Kaisiepo (10 Oktober 1921 – 10 April 1979) adalah seorang politikus Papua dan nasionalis Indonesia. Ia menjabat sebagai Gubernur Provinsi Papua keempat. Pada tahun 1993, Frans secara anumerta dinyatakan sebagai Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia atas usahanya seumur hidup untuk mempersatukan Irian Barat dengan Indonesia.

In many ways, he had contributed to the independence of Indonesia. His struggle earned him the title of hero of independence by the Indonesian government.
