Franz Schwechten war ein deutscher Architekt des Historismus, der vor allem für den Anhalter Bahnhof und die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche bekannt ist. Er lehrte an der Technischen Hochschule Charlottenburg, war Mitglied der Akademie der Künste und der Bauakademie und entwarf zahlreiche Bauten in Berlin und Umgebung.
