Massasoit (¿1580?-1661), también conocido como Usamquin o Pluma Amarilla, fue un líder amerindio de los wampanoag, una tribu localizada en el noreste de los Estados Unidos. Nació en la localidad de Pokanoket en las cercanías de la actual ciudad de Bristol, Rhode Island.
Massasoit was the sachem of the Wampanoag confederacy from c. 1621 to 1661. He formed a peace treaty with the Plymouth Colony and helped them survive the early years, but also faced conflicts and tensions with the colonists over land and resources.
Massasoit was the grand sachem (intertribal chief) of all the Wampanoag Indians, who inhabited parts of present Massachusetts and Rhode Island, particularly the coastal regions.
