Count Alexandre de Lur Saluces (20 May 1934 – 24 July 2023) was a French viticulturist who for 36 years acted as manager of Château d’Yquem, and at the time of his death still acted in this capacity for Château de Fargues, both Sauternais châteaux held by the Lur Saluces family for generations.

ALEXANDRE DE LUR SALUCES : le bâtisseur. Succédant à son Oncle Bertrand, Alexandre de Lur Saluces a dirigé le Chateau d’Yquem jusqu’en 2004, en parallèle à celui de Fargues. Il agrandit le vignoble de Fargues, passant de 9,5 ha en 1968 à 12,25 ha en 1990 puis 15 ha en 2003.
ALEXANDRE DE LUR SALUCES : the builder. Succeeding his Uncle Bertrand, Alexandre de Lur Saluces managed the Chateau d’Yquem until 2004, in parallel with that of Fargues which he still manages. He enlarged the vineyard of Fargues from 9.5 ha in 1968 to 12.25 ha in 1990 and 15 ha in 2003.
