Godefroid Munongo Mwenda M'Siri (20 November 1925 – 28 May 1992) was a Congolese politician. He was a minister and briefly interim president, in 1961. It has been claimed he was involved in ethnic cleansing and in the assassination of Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba, during the Congo Crisis.

Godefroid Munongo Mwenda M’Siri, né le 20 novembre 1925 à Bunkeya et mort le 28 mai 1992 à Kinshasa, est l'un des leaders de la sécession katangaise qui plongea la République démocratique du Congo dans la guerre civile [1].
Godefroid Munongo became the provisional president of Katanga from April 26 1961 to June 22, 1961. Then, he became Minister of the Interior until 1963. Following the Secession: From February1963 to July 1964, he was successively Minister of Justice and Minister of Public Health in the government of Oriental Katanga.
