John Carew Eccles (27 de enero de 1903; Northcote, Victoria, Australia - 2 de mayo de 1997, Locarno, Suiza) fue un neurofisiólogo australiano . Estudió medicina en la Universidad de Melbourne, donde se graduó en 1925. Estudió en Oxford como discípulo del famoso neurofisiólogo Sir Charles Sherrington.
