Anton Emanuel Peschka (21 February 1885, Vienna - 9 September 1940, Vienna) was an Austrian painter. Biography. After receiving a commercial education, he took his first art lessons with Robert Scheffer. He then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, with Christian Griepenkerl.

Anton Peschka was born on 21 February 1885 in Vienna. After a commercial education he visited the painting school of Robert Scheffer. From 1906 to 1910 he studied with his friend Egon Schiele, whose sister Gertrude he married later, under Christian Griepenkerl at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
14 de oct. de 2023 · Anton Peschka was a fellow Austrian painter who was a close friend of Schiele and was in the same class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He was five years older than Schiele and eventually became his brother-in-law when he married Schiele's sister, Gertrude, in 1914.
Egon Schiele (1890–1918) left us in no doubt about the identity of the depicted he delineated in vague outlines with closed eyes and in a strict profile, noting “ANTON PESCHKA!” to the left of the motif.
