There have been several recognized tulkus (incarnations) of Lodro Thaye. 2nd Jamgon Kongtrul (1902–1952) The biography of Khakyab Dorje, 15th Karmapa Lama mentions he had a vision in which he saw 25 simultaneous emanations of the master Jamgön Kongtrül.
Jamgon Kongtrul is often described as one of the greatest scholars in the history of Tibet. A Karma Kagyu lama and model of rime ecumenical activity, he collaborated closely with the Sakya lama Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and the Nyingma treasure revealer Chokgyur Lingpa, in the opening of sacred sites and the revelation of treasure.
Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Tayé (Tib. འཇམ་མགོན་ཀོང་སྤྲུལ་བློ་གྲོས་མཐའ་ཡས་, Wyl. ‘jam mgon kong sprul blo gros mtha’ yas) (1813-1899) - widely known for synthesizing the knowledge and experience of the many lineages of Buddhism in Tibet. This synthesis is recorded in ' The Five Great Treasures '.
4 de may. de 2016 · Jamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thayé is one of the most prominent Buddhist masters in 19th century’s Tibet. Along with Jamyang Khyentsé Wangpo, Chogyur Detchen Lingpa, Mipham Rinpoché and other masters, he contributed to a wide spiritual revival in Eastern Tibet, the Rime or non-sectarian movement.
He not only became one of the greatest masters and the lineage holder of Kagyu School but of all four Schools of Tibetan Buddhism as well as the Bön religion. Lodrö Thaye co-founded the non-sectarian movement in Tibet with the Great Khyentse in 19th century.
