She won twelve world titles, taking all three available titles at the 1937 and 1939 World Championships, while taking two gold medals and a silver at the 1934, 1935 and 1938 editions.

Respondía al nombre de Christl Cranz y era a su vez hermana de Rudi Cranz, otro esquiador olímpico (aunque en su caso no pasase de un sexto puesto).
Christl Franziska Antonia Cranz-Borchers (1 July 1914 – 28 September 2004) was a German alpine ski racer. Cranz dominated international competition in the 1930s, winning twelve world championship titles between 1934 and 1939 .
