28 de sept. de 2004 · The first great German alpine skier, Christl Cranz, brother of Rudi Cranz, dominated the sport in the 1930s. She won twelve world titles, taking all three available titles at the 1937 and 1939 World Championships, while taking two gold medals and a silver at the 1934, 1935 and 1938 editions.

Christl Franziska Antonia Cranz-Borchers (1 July 1914 – 28 September 2004) was a German alpine ski racer. Cranz dominated international competition in the 1930s, winning twelve world championship titles between 1934 and 1939. At the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, she won the combined competition (slalom and downhill).

Seelos was also the coach for Christel Cranz, who won the women’s Alpine Combination in the 1936 games. According to contemporary reports, Seelos was a test skier in the first round in the slalom event in the Olympic Winter Games, and recorded a time 6 seconds better than the fastest time in the competition!
