They were: 12-year-old Conchita González, daughter of Aniceta; 12-year-old María Dolores Mazón, second daughter of Ceferino and Julia; 12-year-old Jacinta González, daughter of Simon and María, and 11-year-old María Cruz González, daughter of Escolástico and Pilar.

The Garabandal apparitions had the support of members of the family of Prince Xavier of Bourbon-Parma, pretender to the Spanish and French thrones. Conchita Gonzales attended a public papal audience with some of the Bourbon-Parmas. There was, however, no private audience or special blessing as claimed. Skepticism
Conchita González was the one of the four girls from San Sebastian de Garabandal, Spain, who had had great number of apparitions of Archangel Michael and Our Lady during the course of 1961-1965 years. She was 12 years old at the time of the first apparition.
