Historia. El 2 de junio de 1900, Germania 1896 y FG Kaiserslautern se fusionaron para crear el FC 1900. En 1909, el club se fusionó con el FC Palatia (fundada en 1901) y el FC Baviera (fundada en 1902) para formar FV 1900 Kaiserslautern.
History and demographics. Prehistoric settlement in the area of what is now Kaiserslautern has been traced to at least 800 BC. Some 2,500-year-old Celtic tombs were uncovered at Miesau, a town about 29 kilometres (18 miles) west of Kaiserslautern.

By 1900 it had developed into one of the largest industrial centres in the Palatinate, with ironworks and cotton mills.
