Dame Margaret Lloyd George GBE JP (née Owen; 4 November 1864 – 20 January 1941) was a Welsh humanitarian and one of the first seven women magistrates appointed in Britain in 1919. She was the wife of Prime Minister David Lloyd George from 1888 until her death in 1941.
After a period of illness where she injured her hip following a fall, Dame Margaret Lloyd George died on the 20 January 1941. Because of snow drifts David Lloyd George was trapped in Denbighshire and could not be with his wife at the end of her life.

Death. Lloyd George died of cancer at the age of 82 on 26 March 1945, with his wife Frances and his daughter Megan at his bedside. Four days later, on Good Friday, he was buried beside the river Dwyfor in Llanystumdwy.
