The faculty of the Nursing Program at Santa Monica College embraces the College's mission of excellence in education. The purpose of the nursing program is to prepare graduates to function as registered nurses with a foundation for lifelong learning to enhance professional and educational growth.
Starting fall 2022, the SMC Nursing program will resume requiring science prerequisite courses (Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Microbiology) be completed with an on-ground lab.
Please visit the Nursing website (smc.edu/nursing) for additional application and admission information. The estimated cost of the entire Nursing Program over two years is $4,000 – $5,000. Students should be prepared to spend approximately $1,000 the first semester for books, equipment, uniforms, and tuition.
