Kaye fue el tecladista original de Yes, entre los años 1968 y 1971, y posteriormente participó en la banda entre los años 1983 y 1995. Luego de su partida de Yes en 1971, colaboró con el proyecto del exguitarrista de Yes , Peter Banks , Flash , para luego formar su propia banda, llamada Badger .
Yes es una banda británica de rock progresivo, formada en 1968 en Londres. Adquirió fama internacional durante la década de 1970 erigiéndose como uno de los pilares del género junto a Emerson, Lake & Palmer y King Crimson, además de Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, Genesis, Focus, Camel y, más adelante, Rush .
