Liverpool's plans to build a new 60,000-capacity all-seater stadium have moved a step closer after the club secured crucial European funding. The European Union Objective One grant of £9m will be spent on regenerating the area around the Stanley Park site.

This would take Anfield up to about 54000 (or 60000 if they copied the stand at Old Trafford). A 20000 stand would look a bit imbalanced, but not nearly as bad as 26000 stand. We are The People.

The Liverpool City Council document, called the ‘Anfield Spatial Regeneration Framework’, confirms that the Main Stand will become the biggest stand in the ground, eclipsing The Kop, which has a capacity of 12,390.

4 de may. de 2019 · Anfield Councillor Lena Simic claimed there had been a 'lack of transparency' from the club and said the issue of trees in Stanley Park being removed was only added in late on and didn't feature in initial consultation. She said: "This park was created for public benefit, it has been loved by citizens for over 150 years."

I've also heard that attendance forecasts of 64,000, 66,000, and 68,000 are possible with some tweaking of the ground. The guy on the video above states that FSG eventually want Anfield to be 90,000, although I've never heard that before tbh.

1 de ago. de 2007 · You cant beat anfield under the lights. But poor from Real Madrid only taking up 2/3 over their 2,700 ticket allocation. Their neighbours Atletico sold out their full allocation 3 years ago despite covid19 just taking off in Madrid. 😳🥺
11 de jul. de 2014 · The proposed Man Utd development is going to exacerbate the situation massively. The talk of phase 3 and 4 just highlights that LFC fans aren't happy with Anfield as it is. We all know that MUFC v LFC is one of the biggest dikswinging contests between fans in world football.
