Echo & the Bunnymen ist eine britische Rockband, deren musikalischer Stil sich von einem psychedelisch gefärbten New Wave in den späten 1970er und frühen 1980er Jahren zu einem melancholischen Pop entwickelte. Nach mehreren Umbesetzungen besteht die Band heute im Wesentlichen aus den beiden Gründungsmitgliedern Ian McCulloch (Gitarre, Gesang) und Will Sergeant (Gitarre).

Echo & the Bunnymen er et britisk postpunkband der blev dannet i Liverpool i 1978 af sanger Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant og en trommemaskine, som bandet angiveligt kaldte "Echo!". Forud for sin første koncert, i slutningen af 1978 , blev bandet udvidet med Les Pattinson ( bas ) og efter at have udgivet et par singler i 1979 , blev "Echo!"
