  2. Sixth Form Study Programmes. All our Study Programmes are full-time (unless in exceptional circumstances – e.g. where there is a serious medical issue) and combine study towards Level 3 qualifications with other enrichment activities. Each programme is tailored to each student’s prior attainment and career goals.

  4. Music Teachers. Mr N Cannon (Director of Music) Mr A Leach; A Vision for Music. Music leads to a deepening of our community at Richard Challoner School and so the curriculum, both in and out of the classroom, it provides opportunities for solo and ensemble performances as part of a shared experience, and it broadens our musical awareness to discover new music and compositional elements.

  5. At Richard Challoner School we take supporting the wellbeing of others and building resilience very seriously. We recognise that today’s teenagers face an increasingly complex and challenging world. We seek as a school to empower children to manage this healthily in our Christian community.

  6. Richard Challoner School has its own Careers Advisor who offers IAG appointments to students in year 7 through to year 13. With many years’ experience and knowledge of schools, college, training providers, apprenticeships, universities and opportunities for young people, students are able to effectively plan ahead for their future.

  7. Richard Challoner School was found to be among the best performing non-selective secondary schools and Sixth Forms in the country, receiving three awards for being in the top 10% nationally for attainment and for being in DfE Band 1 for student progress at key stage 4. The school was also recognised for being in the top 20% nationally for student attainment in academic subjects at Key Stage 5.
