The Joe Spinell Story is a An outstanding and eye-opening documentary, made in 2001 for the Anchor Bay DVD release of Maniac (1980). His most notable roles were as mafioso Willi Cicci in The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, and as loan shark Tony Gazzo in Rocky and Rocky II. Although primarily known as a character actor, Spinell co-wrote and starred as a serial killer in the 1980 film, Maniac.

He was the youngest of six children and grew up in a poor neighborhood. His father, Pelegrino Spagnuolo, died from liver and kidney disease when Joe was 14 years old.
Joe Spinell (born Joseph Spagnuolo) was an Italian-American actor who had an extensive acting career following a character part as Willie Cicci in The Godfather, which he got whilst acting as a cab driver before being spotted by Francis Ford Coppola.He reprised the role in The Godfather Part II.He then appeared in numerous films, such as Rocky and Rocky II, Taxi Driver and Nighthawks.
