Thomas lent his voice to Doug, while Moranis, who had retired from acting in 1991, was replaced by fellow Canadian comic Dave Coulier.In addition to his acting, writing and directing career, Thomas was the co-founder of a successful animation company, Animax, which created animated projects and commercials for a wide variety of clients, including Disney, National Geographic and Sesame Workshop.
