A star of stage and screen, and sister of the stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, Havoc appeared in musicals such as Hello, Frisco, Hello (1943), comedies including Brewster’s Millions (1945) and the social issue drama Gentleman’s Agreement (1947). By age five, she was making $1,500 per week in vaudeville revues. She married her first of three husbands at age 13, a fellow performer, Bobby Reed.
