  6. Charles Vane was an English pirate who was active in the Bahamas during the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. Most sources agree that he was born around 1680. One of his earliest journeys as a pirate took place under the leadership of Henry Jennings, during the raid of the salvage camp for the wrecked Spanish 1715 Treasure Fleet off the coast of Florida.
