Jack Lemmon won a deserved Oscar for this, so it's surprising that it's fallen off the radar, but then at first glance it can seem dated. Once you get past some of the 1970s stylings, most of the subtext is just as relevant today. The movie is an impressive and tight 1:40. There's no backstory, no flashbacks, no tangents.
