Biografía. Tim Rice-Oxley nació el 2 de junio de 1976 en Oxford, Inglaterra, hijo de Margaret y Charles Patrick Rice-Oxley. Asistió a la Escuela Tonbridge junto a sus mejores amigos y quienes serían futuros integrantes de Keane, Richard Hughes y Tom Chaplin.A éste lo conoció por sus madres, quienes tuvieron a sus hijos el mismo día en el mismo lugar y con el mismo nombre.

Leben und Karriere. Tim Rice-Oxley wurde in Oxford als Sohn von Charles Patrick und Margaret Rice-Oxley geboren. Er hat einen jüngeren Bruder namens Tom, der 1979 zur Welt kam. Des Weiteren nahm Rice-Oxley in seiner Jugend Klavierunterricht, an dem er jedoch keine Freude hatte und für den er niemals übte, da er immerzu klassische Stücke spielen sollte, die ihn langweilten.
