They are commonly found in the eastern Pacific Ocean along the coast of Baja California in Mexico up south to Peru. The water temperature in Nusa Penida can vary, being cooler from July to October, around 22-26 degrees Celsius (72-79 degrees Fahrenheit), and warmer from November to June, around 27-30 degrees Celsius (81-86 degrees Fahrenheit).
