LINER NOTES FOR THE BEAU BRUMMELS' BRADLEY'S BARN By Richie Unterberger. When the Beau Brummels recorded Bradley's Barn in 1968, they joined the ranks of many established rock artists moving into country-rock in the wake of Bob Dylan's John Wesley Harding album. Like many of the early country-rockers, however, the group had deeper roots in country music than many realized at the time.

That, unfortunately is the making of a "classic" in the hype sense of the word. Fortunately, this album is better than all of that.

20 de jul. de 2011 · By the time Bradley’s Barn (Warner Brothers – 1968-) recording sessions commenced, the Beau Brummels had scaled down to the duo of founders Ron Elliott (guitarist) and Sal Valentino (vocalist). Nashville session pro contributions (guitarist Jerry Reed and drummer Kenneth A. Buttrey) tend to overshadow the strong batch of Elliott/Valentino/Durand originals written for this classic LP.
Best Known for Their Hits "Laugh Laugh" and "Just a Little," The Beau Brummels Were One of the Most Underrated Bands of the '60s. The Two Records They Cut for Warner Bros. With Lenny Waronker as Producer, Triangle and Bradley's Barn, Are Today Hailed as Groundbreaking AltCountry Precursors.
