Magdalen College is open every day from 2 January to 19 December between 10am and dusk or 5.00pm, whichever is the earlier, with the exception of July, August and September when the college will close at 6.30pm. (These are subject to occasional change which will be advertised on this website, or our noticeboard outside the main entrance.
Entry at 11+. The 11+ Entrance Examination for entrance into Year 7 is held at the school in the January preceding entry in September. The deadline for registration is 31st October when boys are in Year 6 at their current school. Starting the application process.

20 de nov. de 2022 · MCS’s historic setting in the centre of Oxford is gorgeous, while its sports pitches, known as School Field, are possibly the most picturesque in the country. Founded in 1480 to teach the boy choristers who sung in Magdalen College Chapel, it boasts a secret tunnel that runs from the school to the college, affording choristers speedy passage between the two.

Contact. Entry at 8+ and 9+. Pupils can join the Junior School at 8+ (Year 4) and at 9+ (Year 5). The deadline for registration is 31st October of the year preceding entry and all candidates sit an entrance test in January before entry in September. There may occasionally be places available for late applicants.
