Mona Tavakoli was crowned Little Miss San Jose in 1984, (for her riveting Persian dance performance) and since then, she has been on the fast track to stardom. Playing the drums since she was 11 years old, Mona now incorporates the cajon, jangley ankles, vocals, and wisecracks into her performances, along with her drum kit.
Mona Tavakoli holds an M.A. degree in TEFL from University of Isfahan, Iran. Her main interests of research are TEFL, SLA, CALL, Educational Psychology, EFL Teaching and Learning, and Teaching Language Skills. Mona has been teaching for 14 years at different institutes and universities. She is currently studying at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, Canada.
