The School Day. The year is split into three terms, Christmas, Easter and Summer, with the Christmas and Easter terms lasting approximately 14 weeks, and the Summer term lasting only around 8. The terms are broken up by a 1 or 2 week half-term holiday. Holidays are long - four weeks at Christmas and Easter and ten over the Summer.
