George Walton Academy (GWA) was founded in 1969 by a group of citizens desiring to establish an independent school that provided quality education in a college-preparatory environment. Enrollment began with 80 confirmed students and has grown over the next fifty years to reach approximately 750 students for the 2022-2023 school year.
