  1. Robert Grosvenor, 1st Marquess of Westminster, KG, PC (22 March 1767 – 17 February 1845) was the son of the 1st Earl Grosvenor, whom he succeeded in 1802 as 2nd Earl Grosvenor. He was created Marquess of Westminster in 1831.

The Moor Park (Hertfordshire) estate passed to Lord Robert Grosvenor (third son of the 1st Marquess of Westminster), created Baron Ebury in 1857, and the Motcombe (Dorset etc.) passed to Lord Richard Grosvenor (second surviving son of the 2nd Marquess), who was created Baron Stalbridge in 1886.

  3. Grosvenor was born Mr. Robert Grosvenor, younger son of Lord Hugh Grosvenor, himself the sixth son and tenth child of Hugh Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster by his second wife, the Hon. Katherine Cavendish, daughter of William Cavendish, 2nd Baron Chesham. Grosvenor's mother, Lady Mabel Crichton, was the daughter of John Crichton, 4th Earl Erne.
