Another gem from The Animals' overlooked late 60s years on MGM – a time when the group were easily making some of the most inventive music on the label! The styles here are even wider than before – definitely an attempt to showcase "every one of us" that made up the group – in a blend of spacey sounds, gentle folksy moments, and some of the rougher tones of previous MGM records.
28 de nov. de 2007 · EVERY ONE OF US (SE 4553), the second of three U.S. albums released in 1968 by the renamed/retooled Eric Burdon & the Animals, opens with "White Houses," a song that peaked at #67 on Billboard's Hot 100. This one has a peculiar mix: Eric's vocal and bass in the center, bongo-prominent rhythm at right and all other instruments on the left channel.

When they recorded Every One of Us in May of 1968, the album reissued here by Elemental Music, Eric Burdon & the Animals were nearing the end of their string, at least in the lineup in which they d come into the world in late 1966. This album came just after the release of their second one, The Twain Shall Meet.
