29 de feb. de 2024 · Warne says: “Dave would love me to say this – the guy we’ve got [Toby Hounsham] is every bit as good and he’s fit in like a glove. “God must be a Stranglers fan because he delivered us this zany, wacky, daft bloke who can play amazing keyboards and all of a sudden we’ve got a bit more shelf life so we’ll see how much longer it can go.”
An Interview with Baz Warne of The Stranglers. By Graham Clark, January 2024. In 2024, The Stranglers, one of the most iconic and influential bands in British music history, are celebrating their 50th year anniversary with a UK & Irish tour – and there are two dates in Yorkshire.
It saw the band return as a four-piece after the departure of singer Paul Roberts, with lead vocals shared between guitarist Baz Warne and bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel. The album continues, but also builds on, the shift to a more recognisable sound seen in the previous album, Norfolk Coast , with a sound much more akin to the band's earlier sound during the 1970s and early 1980s.

I think we were the first band on, it was 2 o’clock in the afternoon on a Friday. Having never been to Glastonbury I didn’t know what to expect, but it was beautiful english summer weather.
