As a result of her marriage, Lady Violet Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was styled as Baroness Astor of Hever on 21 January 1956.
Violet Astor, Lady Astor of Hever (née Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound) DStJ (28 May 1889–3 January 1965) was the daughter of the 4th Earl of Minto and the wife of the 1st Baron Astor of Hever. Her first marriage, which lasted just over 6½ years, was to Lord Charles Petty-FitzMaurice, the youngest son of the 5th Marquess of Lansdowne, on 20 January 1909.
