Bruce Allpress - Veteran actor Bruce Allpress played true-blue Kiwis in everything from Ronald Hugh Morrieson classic The Scarecrow to 2011 retirement home movie Rest for the Wicked. Alongside a long run of supporting roles, he scored two Feltex Awards as the swagman star of 1980s TV series Jocko. Allpress died on 23 April 2020. He was 89.

Allpress’ first role was in The Cheeseman Singer in the ’60s before eventually appearing in the Academy Award-winning film The Piano , as well as The Water Horse.
