L'Autrichien a foncé tout droit au Tamburello à cause du détachement de l'aile avant, impactant le mur de protection et restant emprisonné dans un état inconscient dans les flammes de ce qui restait de l'habitacle.

Ainda na quarta volta da corrida, o carro vermelho seguiu reto ao invés de fazer a curva para a esquerda e foi direto no muro. Poucos segundos depois da batida, a Ferrari foi tomada pelo fogo.

On this same car Gerhard Berger had the most serious accident of his career, at the Imola circuit, on the fourth lap of the San Marino Grand Prix.

The team, however, was always far from the top of the rankings, although the rankings obtained by Gerhard Berger, Jean Alesi and Nicola Larini allowed it to occupy third place in the constructors' standings behind Williams and Benetton.
