Expo Arte IB. An inauguration with the presence of the proud artists who shared their works, their teachers and families, marked the beginning of this new version of the IB Art Expo. Santiago College (SC) was inaugurated during the War of the Pacific. In the mid-1880s, a house was rented at 17 Vergara Street for a thousand pesos a year. This three-story construction, with spacious gardens and playgrounds, was the origin of SC, a school founded by North American Methodist missionaries and characterized by avant-garde education.
Santiago College 140 años: Description High School consists of 10th to 12th grades. In these last three years of school, the focus is on completing the school stage successfully and preparing students for higher education. The IB Diploma Program, offered in Spanish with some subjects in English, is the basis of the High School program.
Santiago College teachers team is well known for its proximity, being near the student during all the steps of new learning processes, virtual or on-site. It’s a flexible school, which adapts quickly to changes, as it has happened in the Covid-19 pandemic context, with the technology needed for simultaneous online and on-site teaching.
