Don Myrick. Music Department: Phil Collins: One More Night. Don Myrick was the legendary saxophonist of "The Phenix Horns", the former horn section of Earth, Wind and Fire. Before joining Earth, Wind and Fire, Myrick was a member of Chicago Band "The Pharaohs". He eventually joined the Phenix Horns in 1975 with close friend Louis "Lui-Lui" Satterfield.
The Phenix Horns, originally known as the EWF Horns, were the main horn section for the band Earth, Wind & Fire.The horn section was composed of Don Myrick on saxophone, Louis "Lui Lui" Satterfield on trombone, Rahmlee Michael Davis on trumpet, Michael Harris on trumpet and Harry Kim on trumpet.. The Phenix Horns are also known for their work with Phil Collins and the band Genesis.

30 de jul. de 1993 · Don Myrick. He played alto, tenor, and soprano sax as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire's original horn section, the Phenix Horns, from 1975 through 1982. Previously, Myrick had been a member of the musical group the Pharaohs. Myrick is also credited as a founding member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians.
